iPad

Definition: The iPad is Apple’s tablet computer. Somewhere between an iPhone and a computer, the iPad is still a very young piece of technology. Still, it is an innovative device; despite being extremely thin, it runs at high speeds and performs almost all of the functions of a laptop computer. It is keyboard- and mouse-less, as it runs on a touch screen with a virtual keyboard. As of 2011, more than 80 tablets have been announced to compete with the iPad.
