Although Mick McAndrews was born and raised in northern New Jersey, he has lived in the Brandywine Valley for the last 20 years. His personal journey as an artist into watercolor began with joining a beginner's drawing class at the Delaware Art Museum, after he had marveled at the works of students who'd just completed the course. However, primarily self-taught, Mick relies on an occasional workshop to learn, grow, and experience the art of watercolor with others to gain a new perspective. He is inspired by the natural environment of the Brandywine Valley and his travels both in the U.S. and abroad.
