From football season, to Halloween there are many events to celebrate this month. I can honestly say that I have never been the one to post comments on controversial web articles. However, after reading a recent article posted on Time Business, I had to put my two cents in. The article titled, "11 Reasons a 23-Year-Old Shouldn't Run Your Social Media," stirred up quite a debate in the comments section due to its single-sided, unfounded nature. It's unfortunate that articles of this nature are published at all, mainly because they can deter business owners from hiring the right employe... read more.

I wrote a blog at the beginning of June about Pitbull being exiled to Kodiak, Alaska to bring some Miami heat to his fans. Pitbull met with fans, as promised, and surprisingly didn't get mauled by any Kodiak bears. Walmart, via Facebook, began a promotion to bring Pitbull to the most voted upon hometown store. Mr. Worldwide himself was chosen to go to the little town of Kodiak, thanks to Facebook users. The Internet has been a part of some pretty memorable moments this summer alone, including some t... read more.

Everyone loses things; but it takes a morally correct person to return it to you when found. I learned my lesson the hard way by losing my iPhone 4 twice in a cab in the Big Apple. You'd think people would be nice enough to return it - but no. I get it; it's my fault that I lost it, but that doesn't mean humanity shouldn't be kind enough to return it. When I realized I had lost my phone, I did what any iPhone user does - check the iCloud and set up the alert system to set my phone to lock itself when... read more.

Have you checked out the AppStore lately? It doesn't matter if you have a Droid, iPhone, Google Phone, whatever; there are some cool apps out there. I have compiled a list of some of the sweetest apps around. I have tried my best to include apps that are available for all phone types. Zombies, Run! I felt like a kid in a candy store when I saw this App existed. First of all I love zombies and secondly, I've taken a knack for running.  This app makes running fun by immersing you in a post-apocalyp... read more.

Does Friday the 13th freak you out as much as it does me? I try to stay indoors as much as I can and be extra cautious in my endeavors throughout the day. Life is crazy, that's for sure and reading and watching the content below will definitely back up this conclusion.  Zero F*cks were given this Friday the 13th. First, I'd like to let you know that this year, 2012, marks three Friday the 13ths: January 13, April 13, and July 13th.What's even freakier is that they all fall exactly 13 weeks fr... read more.

Social Media users nationwide have come together for another great cause. Recently it was all about Karen Klein who was bullied by students on the bus she monitors. Indiegogo raised funds to send her on a vacation and now has reached a remarkable $679,149(this has probably risen already) with fifteen days remaining in the campaign.  Now the tables have turned to superstar Pitbull aka Lil' Chico, aka Mr. 305, aka Mr. Worldwide. Pitbull recently linked up with Energy Sheets, a caffeinated Lister... read more.

When you spend as much time on Facebook as I do, you're more exposed to some of the biggest pet peeves in social media. There are plenty of things that really "grind my gears" on the giant social network and I'm sure they're the same for most of Facebook's active user base. By nature, I avoid confrontation and/or awkward situations. This is why I never actually "unfriend" anyone. Instead, I employ the subtle action of "unsubscribing" from people so that they'll never show up in my news feed ever again. Tha... read more.

As Summer hits its unofficial beginning today for Memorial Day Weekend, social media will be more popular than ever with kids out of school (more time for posting) and fun outdoor activities that everyone would like to share more than their winter activities of reading books next to the fireplace. Along with all of the increased activity there comes a higher probability that people will pull the ultimate social media no-no's. Not much gets under peoples skin on social media more than these items about to be... read more.

The views expressed in this article are solely those of the author's and do not necessarily reflect the views of the entire Hudson Horizons organization. In college, I was always the guy who sat in the back corner of each class, in anticipation of its ending. I went through the motions of pretending like I actually cared about learning when, in reality, I was thinking about girls, money and the weekend. However, there were two classes that made me want to participate. Not only were these two courses inte... read more.
