Vine is a new and user friendly iPhone app that allows you to share life's happenings through video. As I was scrolling across my Instagram feed yesterday, I noticed a friend of mine posted a screenshot of the Vine app. Shortly after, I had to download and see what it had to offer. There is a substantial amount of popular video sharing apps available for smartphones currently, and I thought Vine would be another similar app. Some of these trending iPhone/Android apps include: Viddy, Keek and Cinemagram. When Twitter announced that it would be getting a makeover this past December, small businesses were excited about the prospect of being able to create their own brand pages. It cannot be disputed: over the past year, Twitter has grown at an insane rate. In the process, many businesses and websites have jumped on board. Virtually every article one can read online today features a Tweet button, letting viewers share the article on their Twitter account. There has always been, however, a rather large hole in this form of integration: webmasters and website owners have never been given the tools to be able to quantize just how effective this sharing really is. Until now. On Tues... read more.

On Thursday, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo met with tech reporters for a chat he dubbed Twitter's "state of the union." Predictably, the focus of the speech was the rapid growth of the company. Here's what the CEO had to say. First, Costolo soaked reporters with a bevy of statistics that illustrate that Twitter is, in his words, "super healthy." The social network hosts 230 million tweets every day and roughly one billion every five days. Last week, users set a record by sending 8,900 tweets per second. Twitter... read more.
