Twitter lists allow users to organize their most influential or industry specific followers. These lists are essentially a curated set of Twitter followers that can be determined by category or topic. For example: "Tech," "Inspiration," or "Celebrities" are all great list ideas that can eliminate clutter on your feed, and allow you to only view the tweets related to your elected topic. Twitter lists are useful for both business and personal accounts as they can help you stay organized. If you're a techie,... read more.

Twitter is a social network where users can share their thoughts, rant, promote, retweet, and more. For me, it is a place where I can keep current on relevant topics that interest me. When I follow a new influential user, company, or celebrity I quickly add them to a list so if I'm strapped for time and wish to catch up on any current news within a specific category, I can do so within seconds. The social networking platform is thankful for all of their faithful followers, and how each and every one of th... read more.

Twitter has done something for the first time: blocked an account acting on a policy known as "country-withheld content". This security feature was put into effect in January 2012 and never used until now. In Berlin, a German neo-Nazi group joined the Twitter bandwagon, creating their own Twitter account. The group then started tweeting about government suppression and the influences of financial institutions like Goldman Sachs. The country-withheld content was meant to balance freedom of expression thro... read more.

The Republican Convention was held last night in Tampa swearing in Mitt Romney as Republican candidate. Romney was himself with his countless lies  to make our POTUS look bad. This time Romney brought in a mini-army to help bash on the President. This morning I hit Twitter search to see what my fellow politickers were saying about the #GOP2012. @TruthTeam2012 is run by the #Obama2012 campaign staff tweeting to get the facts out there after Romney's stiff allegations via his campaign. This pr... read more.

The US Olympic Team is ready for London and you should be too. The Olympics this year will be more social media-fied than ever before bringing us all together whilst watching these long awaited events. This year you can keep up to date on your favorite US Athletes via their Twitter accounts. Of course everyone has their favorite sport they like to watch; I prefer the men's diving portion of the games. Maybe it's the super tiny trunks and all the abs but you bet your bottom dollar I'll be following US ... read more.

Twitter plans to make a big push for more advertising revenue in 2012. Twitter has seen more and more competition throughout the web and their need to fight back against their competitors is eminent. Facebook and Google, just to name a few, but also the two largest players in the social media advertising market, have seen tremendous growth in advertising revenue through innovative features and designs. Twitter has seen very little change to its design and platform since its inception in 2006. Twitter nee... read more.

Twitter has always been a great way to promote a business by being able to update customers and followers in real-time. Even within Twitter there is a way to promote a business even further, the use of the hashtag. For those who are unfamiliar with a hashtag, it is a relevant word or characters preceded by a "#." This organizes topics within Twitter because once clicked on or searched for, all tweets with the given hashtag will be found for the user. It is suggested, in order to avoid looking like spam, to... read more.
