Fab.com: App Redesign and 7.5 Million Users

Fab is a website where users can purchase anything from t-shirts, phone cases, or wall art. The company is growing extremely quickly, and have not slowed down their growth rate since launch. Fab.com has recently made their site open to the public, where periously users were required to create an account to view, purchase, and share products with friends. Now, the design focused company has launched a newly remastered iPhone and iPad app that includes Facebook sharing features, detailed search capabilities, and improved navigation! What is most impressive about the rapid sucess of Fab.com is that the company is only a year and few months old.

The Fab.com mobile apps are responsible for almost half of their daily website visitors and make up for over 30% of their sales on a daily basis. Jason Goldberg who is the CEO at Fab.com has additional plans to grow the company even further. The amount of people who use their mobile devices is only going up and he believes that the Fab.com mobile app will bring in over 50% of their total sales. The Fab.com app is easy to use, and even offers push notifications when new sales go live!

The design e-commerce offers one of the most enjoyable places to shop online. Fab.com offers wall decals, eyewear, mugs, pet goods, and kids clothing. The reason as to why Fab has gained its popularity so quickly is due to its pop up sales that are live online for a limited amount of time. This stimulates users of the website and mobile app to feel a sense of urgency to purchase a product off the website. It is hard to ignore the company when their ads pop up on Facebook, Google, and YouTube ads. The new and improved Fab.com app is seamless and well-organized. The Fab app has been a staple on my front homepage of my iPhone and iPad 2 for quite some time now, and it is definitely one of my most frequently used apps, besides Instagram.

The sucess of Fab.com verifies that a large portion of Fab's total traffic will continue to come from sales on mobile apps, especially as shoppers begin their holiday shopping this year.
