Flexible
Reach Targeting is an addition to Google's Display Network which allows the
advertiser to control the settings for your ad at an ad group level. The
advertiser will reach a deeper aspect of the advertisement with its targeting
methods.
According to Google, campaign level settings allow the
advertiser to choose between a Broad reach and Specific Reach.
- Broad reach means your ad will show up on pages
that match your primary targeting method.
- Specific reach means your ads will show on pages
that match all the targeting methods.
These tabs are found under Enable flexible reach which will
allow your ad to be displayed on both the Campaign and Group level.
How do I enable "Flexible Reach"?
First, I want to make you aware that once you have chosen to
take advantage of Flexible Reach Targeting you cannot undo it. Otherwise, to
enable Flexible Reach log on to your Google
AdWords account go to Campaign
Setting > Networks and Devices > Display Network and click "Flexible Reach." Below this you will see Broad and Specific Reach; chose
accordingly.

After "Flexible
Reach" is chosen, all of your campaigns will automatically use this
feature. If you add placements to your ads you can also choose the ad groups'
target. You can also chose to remove any placement that you decide isn't a good
fit for your ad groups' target.
