Have you ever wondered why no one is posting on your Facebook or commenting on you statuses? Well, perhaps it is time to learn how to attract your target audience by adjusting your content. This seems hard, so how can you do this? Have no fear! There are multiple ways to attract your target audience with content.

Before you get started on writing new content, take a look at what you had posted previously. Check on how many hits you got. If you see only a few likes, shares or comments, then you know there is room for improvement. If there are quite a few likes, shares or comments, then there is only minor tweaking to be done. You want to come back to this step every couple of weeks. This will help you to analyze your posts and see what is most effective.

Now, how do you improve your posts? Format is a large part of the post. Break up the content, add bullet lists and keep it short, sweet and to the point.

There are three parts to a Facebook Post:

1.   The Message
2.   An Attachment
3.   A Link

The Message

Obviously, what you are trying to get across to your audience is the most important part. However, people do not like to just read, they love to use visuals to understand. Remember to keep the text to a minimum to keep people interested. Also, use words that will attract them such as free, first, etc. and put them in ALL CAPS.

An Attachment

Anytime you post media, you are creating an attachment to your post. People want visuals. Keep in mind that visuals are more often liked or commented on than any text or video attachment. If you have a visual that catches their eyes, then they will read the content that goes with it. If you look at the Denver Broncos Facebook page, for instance, you will find many images with links and brief descriptions.

A Link

Links are always interesting to add to Facebook. You must realize that Facebook is a platform to advertise your company for free. By adding links that direct back to your company website or that show the job of your company can score major brownie points! People don't just love to look at things; they love to click on them, too!

Another thing toBreast Cancer Awareness keep in mind is SEO! Keep up with what is going on around you. Post things that make sense for the time. For instance, the month of October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness. Perhaps posting facts or having pink products will attract a larger portion of your target market.

There you have it! Just do the minor tweaking and see what comes of it. Remember, always check your responses every few weeks to ensure you are making improvements!

I never thought of adding a picture and link to my Facebook posts. It makes sense. Pictures are interesting. I am an attorney and it is easy for me to post factual information. A good picture would help on an emotional level. Thanks for the ideas.
