KitchenAid took some heat after an employee send an accidental tweet that he meant to post on his personal account, but ended up being logged into the KitchenAid company account. The tweet was posted during the presidential debate on Wednesday night. The tweet mentioned President Obama's late grandmother who passed away a few years ago. The tweet read:

@KitchenAidUSA: "Obamas gma even knew it was going 2 b bad! ‘She died 3 days b4 he became president"."??? Wow!" #nbcpolitics

KitchenAid acted quickly and deleted the tweet from their company account and later apologized for the mistake made by one of their employees. The tweet was quickly retweeted by thousands in just a few minutes, which led it to be reported about on local news stations and blogs across the web. Twitter users tweeted KitchenAid and suggested that the employee who sent the tweet out should be terminated.

Cynthia Soledad is the head of KitchenAid and she shared her feelings on the issue about what happened. She also apologzied on behalf of President Obama because of the rude reference made about his late grandmother.
