Editorial
Calendars can be quick, simple reference for smooth executions of Facebook posts, Tweets, Blogs, etc. Editorial Calendars will save you some time when you
are in a pinch but are still determined to be social. Compiling pictures,
quotes, ideas, etc. ahead of time will keep you on top of the game and social.
It's key to use eye catching content that will cause other to want to interact
with you and your brand. Also, it's crucial to not make mistakes be it grammar
or spelling - readers will think you're a nimrod.
Brainstorm topics that will fit will
with your brand, for instance if your company deals with fitness and health I
would recommend posting recipes, workout guides, studies in the news, etc. Keep
your followers and subscribers up to do date on what's going on in your field
of expertise. Don't use outdated content either, in reality society wants to be
in the know of what is in; help them obtain that. Remember Social Media users
are those who are fashion forward, technologically forward, etc.

Set up timelines for when you want to
execute your content on your social media sites. Keep in mind holidays or any dates that are important for your brand. If your anniversary is coming up, you better
post about - your followers will give you kudos on your landmarks. Timelines
can range from two to four weeks and this will allow the social media accounts
handlers to stay in sync.
Themed posts ease content brainstorming
depending on the day. For example for an editorial calendar I did for a "men's
health" type client I decided on Fitness Friday's; promising great workout
advice every Friday. On Wednesday's, an inspirational quote or picture is
posted to help Hump Day fly by.
When it
comes to Social Media, it's all about how creative you can get with your posts,
tweets and blogs. Many of us find inspiration from holidays, the news, social
media, etc. These are all events that can change day to day. Don't forget how
important Search
Engine Optimization is for your content. Search Engines will pick up on
your pages if you're writing content that search engines users are searching.
Posts examples to keep in mind: These are
the most common, up to date posts I've been coming across.
