The scandal surrounding News Corp Chairman and CEO, Rupert Murdoch, has finally led to the hearing that started today. During the hearing a man sitting in the fourth row calmly stood up and proceeded to calmly walk over and smother Rupert Murdoch in the face with a shaving cream pie.
The young man has been identified as a protester, Jonnie Marbles. He tweeted right before the attack stating “It is a far better thing that I do now than I have ever done before #splat.” He is now currently trending on the Twitter.

This is probably the most interest the public has shown since the scandal came to light. Murdoch stated during the hearing that "This is the most humble day of my life." News Corp has since lost $8B in market value and Murdoch shut down the tabloid News of the World.
