Twitter is not just a social media for people and businesses to communicate to the world, but apparently for bad weather, as well!
Hurricane Sandy is teaming up with a wintery mix to pay a visit to the east coast of the United States. Many people have heard the news that the hurricane is coming for next week and are using search engines to find more information. Different Medias have been calling this team the "Midwest Frankenstorm", which, quickly became a well known name and took to Twitter.

The frankenstorm Twitter account has posted many tweets, but one that is sure to be uncomfortable for those on the east coast states, "I'm ALIVE." The frankenstorm account does post some helpful information such as warnings for what states will be affected and what to expect. Frankenstorm also suggests to download the free Red Cross app to know what shelters are open and where they are located.
This storm is predicted to knock out power for millions of people and to do some serious damage to the east coast. There is caution for flooding, downed power lines, and a wintery mix. Forecasters are even comparing this to the Perfect Storm of 1991.
Preparing for this assumed disaster is one thing, but being informed is another. Stay on top of the latest Frankenstorm information with National Hurricane Center (NOAA).
